Fusemachines Inc. The flagship program, designed by leading US university faculties and AI industry experts, offers Fusemachines’ proprietary MicrodegreeTM program with the goal of producing high-quality AI and data science talent ready to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving industry.

Now in its ninth year, the program delivers advanced AI and data science expertise alongside hands-on problem-solving experience, equipping participants with skills that translate directly to real-world application. It is curated for IT students, professionals, and enthusiasts with demonstrated backgrounds in programming, mathematics, computer science, and software development. Applicants will undergo a multi-stage selection process, and qualifying candidates will receive full scholarships to participate in the program.

"This ninth year of our AI Fellowship program is a reflection of our commitment to make top-notch AI education accessible irrespective of geographic boundaries,” said Sameer Maskey, CEO of Fusemachines. “We are proud to develop problem-solvers, innovators, and leaders who will influence the future of artificial intelligence from Nepal to the rest of the world.”

Since its inception in 2017, the Fusemachines AI Fellowship Program has successfully trained over 1200 fellows across 12 countries in frontier markets, aligning with Fusemachines' vision to democratize AI through quality AI education opportunities.

“Investing in human capital is the most effective long-term strategy,” said Parag Shrestha, Head of Strategy and MD South Asia, Fusemachines. “With each new edition, we continue to strengthen our resolve to bridge the gap between regional talent and international opportunities. The goal of this program is to establish a strong AI ecosystem in Nepal and lead and influence the global AI landscape”

The 2026 cohort will participate in a hybrid learning experience that combines online instruction through the Fusemachines Online Education platform with immersive onsite exercises designed to reinforce practical, real-world AI application. Upon completing the program, fellows will have developed a thorough understanding of Generative AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Prompt Engineering, and MLOps, and will be rounded out by a strong foundation in essential mathematical and programming principles.

The majority of course content will be available online, combining weekly live lectures with facilitated self-paced learning to accommodate diverse schedules and learning styles. The curriculum is designed to go well beyond theory, empowering participants to select and implement the right algorithms, libraries, frameworks, and techniques for complex challenges across computer vision, natural language processing, and generative AI. Fellows will run experiments to evaluate model performance, compare architectures, and build end-to-end pipelines, developing the kind of practical, decision-ready skills that make an immediate impact in professional settings.
